Summary:
The Humanitarian Relief Lead Coordinator is responsible for facilitating primary and secondary services directly to non-citizen migrants arriving in San Antonio, TX at the Cento de Bienvenida, also referred to as the Migrant Resource Center. The Lead coordinator must have the ability to effectively coordinate shelter, food, transportation, acute medical care, personal hygiene supplies, clothing, providing outreach information of services provided, and assisting with translation services via Interpreter and Translations Services (ITS) as designated at their respective Zone. The Lead Coordinator is responsible for providing direct services to non-citizen migrants for the duration of their stay at the Centro de Bienvenida, also referred to as the Migrant Resource Center. The Lead Coordinator must be able to drive an agency van and/or box truck to assist in the pickup and delivery of primary and secondary supplies, and/or donations related to delivery of services to non-citizen migrants. The Lead Coordinator must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record. The Lead Coordinator must have a Texas Food Handler certificate. The Lead Coordinator will be required to work non-traditional hours and will be on call 24/7/365. Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
Position Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for assisting in training of all contractors as related to delivery of primary and secondary services to non-citizen migrants.
- Effectively oversee and coordinate the delivery of primary and secondary services to non-citizen migrants for assigned Zone(s)
- Delegating duties to other contractors as needed for delivery of primary and secondary services to non-citizen migrants.
- Complete physical headcounts of non-citizen migrants as required
- Maintain two-way radio (walkie-talkie) communication with entire team.
- Ensure all 214 Activity logs are being completed in assigned Zone(s).
- Ensure all 214 Activity logs are submitted to Shift Leads, Shift Supervisors, Assistant program Director, and/or Program Director

Work with special populations, including non-citizen migrants.

Provide regular situational updates to Shift Lead and Shift Supervisors during an emergency influx of non-citizen migrants.

Coordinate delivery of services to populations affected by humanitarian crises, such as non-citizen migrants.

Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Program Director, Program Director, and VP of Programs.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred
- Experience
- 2 or more years of experience in a human services, public health, or emergency response setting preferred.
- License and Credentials
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver license
- Valid vehicle insurance
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:

2 or more years of experience in a human service, public health, disaster relief, or emergency management/response setting preferred.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs

Must be flexible, self-directed, and goal oriented.

Knowledge and experience working in a social service setting strongly preferred.

Experience working with diverse populations including immigrants from different countries of origin.

Ability to work in culturally sensitive manner with diverse populations.

Knowledge of HIPPA and confidentiality standards

Knowledge of operational procedures of Community Centers or other comparable facilities preferred.

Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.
