Location: Lewisburg, PA (this position may be eligible for remote work following a several month orientation and training period on site)
Typical Work Schedule: Days (Monday through Thursday from 8am-5pm and Friday 7:30am-2:30pm)

SUMMARY
The main responsibilities of the Medical Office Associate is to perform a variety of clerical and secretarial duties in the assigned office. This includes:
- pre-registering and scheduling patients.
- accurately document all patient interactions.
- gathers, verifies, and records patient information.
- verifying tests ordered to ensure they are accompanied by a valid clinical diagnosis.
- verifying insurance benefits.
- obtaining referrals and/or pre-authorizations from physician's offices.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. An associate degree in business, secretarial science or equivalent preferred.
2. Knowledge of medical terminology.
3. Good communication skills.
4. Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse history clearance and an FBI criminal history check required.
