Job Summary:
The IT Supervisor will provide leadership to professionals within the IT department. This role assigns tasks and training to IT professionals. This role will also provide hardware, software, and network support to all Melnor’s IT operations infrastructure. This support includes installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software associated with network servers, PC workstations, peripheral devices, and network connectivity in a MS Windows environment. Support the Melnor user community in the use of business system applications including MS Office, and MS Outlook. Maintain up-to-date inventory of all hardware and all software licenses. Monitor and maintain all aspects of network security and the protection of all connected PC assets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information systems or 3+ years equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in a lead or supervisory capacity within IT.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
IT Operations and Infrastructure
§ Oversees daily operational activities of information technology systems
§ Directs education and training programs for IT professionals
§ Provide user support for PC Hardware and Software
§ Establish network users, user environments, directories, and security
§ Install and maintain network and workstation software and hardware
§ Provide local phone system (Switchvox) administration
§ Coordinate IT user support function (Help Desk - iSupport)
§ Perform IT Operational functions as required
§ Evaluates new technology and makes recommendations to ensure security, compatibility, and effectiveness
§ IT asset management
§ Perform computer and server operational functions
Transformation, Cyber Security, Help Desk Management and Metrics Development
§ Learn new technology and applications
§ Support associates in using SAP B1 & LISA applications and ERP Administration
§ Basic Project Management
§ eCommerce, content management, and technology support
§ Preparing system documentation and reports
§ Develop business solutions using appropriate PC based tools
§ Analyze and resolve information/business system related problems
§ Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Advanced skills in Network Administration, Monitoring and Troubleshooting
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Active Directory and Domain Controllers
- The ability to analyze and resolve PC hardware and software problems
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office
- Advanced knowledge in Switchvox (VOIP) Phone System administration
- The aptitude/ability and willingness to learn new technology
- The ability to adjust to constantly changing priorities
- The ability to communicate with a diverse group of associates
- The ability to teach/train associates to use Business System Applications

Work Environment:
- The performance of this position requires exposure to the warehouse.
- The individual is exposed to a typical office environment with ambient room temperature, lighting, and traditional office equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk a minimum of 8 hours per day.
- Individuals may be required to reach above shoulder height, below waist or lift as required to file documents or to reach for product throughout the workday; lifting will include up to 25 pounds. Proper lifting techniques are required.
Other Requirements:
Hours of Work: Monday-Friday (8am-5pm), overtime as needed.
