Innercept is looking for a experienced nurse to perform variety of professional and technical duties relating to the coordination and monitoring of resident’s specific medical needs.
The principal function of the Family Nurse Practitioner is to assist the residents with their daily medical needs while being active treatment team member!
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following
- Coach and demonstrate daily life skills in accordance with the resident’s treatment plan;
- Provide observation and support for members of the Treatment Team through consistent and concise communication and documentation;
- Provide oversight, training and delegation of Innercept employees in medication assistance;
- Manage resident medications, administration, disposal, ordering, storage and documentation of resident medications;
- Perform assessments/data collection in an ongoing manner focusing on physiologic, psychological and cognitive status within the nurse’s scope of practice;
- Interact with community clinics and clinicians to ensure all resident health care needs are attended to appropriately;
- Assist prescribers in obtaining consents for medications from families and residents;
- Coordinate with pharmacies and other medically related vendors;
- Facilitate and participate in various household duties to ensure a safe and hygienic environment;
- Support residents and co-workers during times of instability that may include but not limited to resident inflicted self-harm, property damage, elopement, and isolated physical aggression episodes (according to provided company training and with support of team); acting at all times in accordance with Innercept’s behavior support policy;
- Follow Innercept’s reporting procedures for all suspected incidents of abuse, neglect or abandonment of a resident;
- Complete medication ordering; assist with appointment scheduling, as requested;
- Ensure all medically related documentation for the residents on caseload is complete, accurate and timely;
Qualifications, Experience and Training
- Completed program of study in Nursing from an accredited university or college
- Must be a licensed nurse with all privileges to practice as a nurse
- RN/BSN Preferred
- Residential Treatment experience preferred
