The DevOps Engineer III is responsible for managing and improving continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring reliable and scalable infrastructure through infrastructure as code (IaC), and maintaining robust monitoring and logging systems. This role will collaborate closely with development teams to integrate security practices (DevSecOps) and ensure the application’s performance, security, and reliability throughout its lifecycle. Additionally, they troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize downtime and enhance system efficiency.

Role and Responsibilities

Implement and Manage CI/CD Pipelines: Design, develop, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring faster and more reliable software delivery.

Monitor and Maintain Infrastructure: Oversee the monitoring, management, and maintenance of cloud and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of the systems.

Automate Infrastructure and Workflows: Develop and implement automation scripts and tools for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and workflow automation to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

Ensure Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices, conduct regular security audits, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations to protect the integrity and confidentiality of the systems and data.

Production Environment Changes: Apply broad changes in the production environment, coordinating with development team releases.
Qualifications

4+ years’ experience in DevOps role.

Experience with CI/CD Tools: Proficiency in using continuous integration and continuous deployment tools like GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps pipelines for automating build, test, and deployment processes.

Proficiency in Cloud Platforms: Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and cloud-native infrastructure management.

Knowledge of Containerization: Solid understanding and hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes for deploying and managing containerized applications.

Scripting and Automation Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automating tasks and managing infrastructure.

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for automating infrastructure provisioning and management.

Experience with Monitoring and Logging Tools: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like DataDog, Grafana, Nagios, or ELK stack for system performance monitoring and log analysis.

Understanding of Version Control Systems: Knowledge of version control systems like Git, including best practices for branching, merging, and repository management.
Preferred Skills

Knowledge of Networking Concepts: Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls, to manage and troubleshoot network-related issues.

Familiarity with Security Practices: Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures to protect systems and data.

Experience with Configuration Management: Experience with configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, or SaltStack for automating the management and configuration of infrastructure.
