Job Duties:
Under the supervision of the Director of Laboratory Services, as assigned, the Laboratory Assistant performs venipuncture and related phlebotomy procedures, provides clerical support to the department, and performs billing and coding functions. High School Diploma or equivalent; additional training/education preferred, such as completion of Medical Assistant program, Phlebotomy training, coursework in medical terminology.
Qualifications:
Phlebotomist or other healthcare certification preferred. Experience in a laboratory environment preferred; experience may substitute for post-secondary education.
Shift Schedule:
On-Call/PRN; variable hours/shifts, as needed.
