Peak Performers has partnered with a Managed Care Organization to assist in their search for a Quality Improvement Specialist. In this contract position, you will support the development and maintenance of quality improvement related projects and reporting. Respond to quality improvement inquiries.
Major duties
- Working with members and providers.
- Travel 25% of the time within the state of GA. (No more than 2-hour travel time)
- Receiving, managing, and reporting workload of progress to the Manager or Supervisor.
- Contacting Providers’ offices and other medical facilities to request medical records.
- Calling non-compliant members to assist in scheduling an appointment with their doctor.
- Collaborating with other internal departments such as Pharmacy, Customer Service, & Community Outreach.
- Troubleshooting and reporting barriers to accomplishing goals.
- Formulate and prepare ad-hoc and additional reporting requirements
- Recommend, develop, and implement quality improvement plans with management
- Train providers and staff in methodologies and tools of continuous quality improvement
- Prepare for and participate in meetings with State agencies, providers, and stakeholders
- Perform audits on to meet state and internal requirements
What are we looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred
- 1-3+ years of related experience
- Experience in speaking with members as well as providers
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Applications, including Excel (Pivots & Lookups) and PowerPoint preferred
- Valid Driver's License

- Rate: $21.83/hour
- Days / Hours: Monday-Friday
- Contract length: 5 months
- Remote within the State of Georgia
