Job Description:
DTN is seeking a Senior Installation and Support Technician to join our Customer Experience team within the Energy & Refined Fuels sector. This role will provide on-site technical product support and service to DTN's Guardian3 customers, including installation, diagnostics, and repair.
DTN Guardian3 is a terminal automation system that optimizes all responsibilities involved in storing and delivering fuels. The Guardian3 system provides configurable real-time data management tools for almost every task required at an individual terminal to maintain deliveries on schedule and in compliance. It manages security access to the terminal, lifting controls, and inventory monitoring, including quality control.
What you'll be responsible for:

Deploy the DTN Guardian terminal automation system at remote customer sites in hazardous environments, which necessitates travel to these locations as needed and the successful completion of all mandatory hazardous environment and emergency training.

Act as the lead for associate technicians during on-site installations.

Collaborate closely with customers and guide other technicians in preparing for software deployment, including evaluating current systems, configuring new systems, and addressing special circumstances.

Work closely with the installation team and customers on control process network issues, encompassing planning, testing, and troubleshooting as network concerns arise.

Independently test and evaluate new system releases before site deployment.

Provide both on-site and remote training for software users and technicians at various levels.

Offer direct customer phone support to identify and resolve first-tier and escalated automation software configuration and operational issues.

Supply immediate end-user training over the phone.

Deliver after-hours support to customers and technicians on a rotational basis.

Troubleshoot, document, and track software issues for immediate customer resolution and for periodic reviews to inform design changes that enhance product quality.

Independently manage installation and upgrade projects in line with established protocols.

Collaborate with Product Management and development teams on bug fixes and the discovery of software modifications.
What you'll bring to the role:

Proficient in advanced Oracle Database installation and management, as well as advanced SQL for relational database management.

Possesses experience and knowledge in the petroleum industry, specifically in bulk terminal operations and applications related to transaction data management.

Skilled in advanced PLC and flow computer protocols, with a deep understanding of proprietary communication languages such as ModBusTCP, CCM2, FMC Smith, and Optomux.

Expert in TCP/IP networking, serial communications, and machine automation, with a focus on hazardous location/products distribution risk prevention.

Capable of training and conveying technical information to both associate and mid-level technicians.

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $82,500 and $110,000. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
