Duties & Responsibilities:
All job duties and responsibilities assigned are comprised of, but not limited to:
· Install Weatherization measures in the client homes. Ensure safety and compliance protocols of state, federal, OSHA, EPA, and building code are thoroughly followed.
· Install and repair appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, microwave ovens, etc. in client homes.
· Remove old insulation and follow proper safety protocol.
· Install attic insulation and other weatherization measures in client homes. Prepare surfaces for insulation by applying adhesives, cement, etc. Cover, seal, and finish insulated surfaces.
· Measure and cut insulation. Distribute materials into spaces such as floorings, ceilings, and walls.
· Read, comprehend, and refer to project blueprints, schematics, floor plans, and product manuals.
· Manage and keep records of equipment and materials installed on a daily basis. Complete and review logs and other paperwork.
· Instruct clients on proper usage of installed measures, equipment, and appliances. Assist in maintaining daily inventory of materials and equipment in company vehicle and in the warehouse.
· Inspect crew member vehicles and tools to ensure proper safety and daily operations.
· Assist in loading and unloading equipment under pressure and work standards
· Disassemble and reassemble appliances so that problems can be diagnosed. Make necessary repairs to appliances following safety guidelines and protocols.
· Drive company vehicle to and from jobsite while maintaining safe driving practices in accordance to road safety laws and Maravilla’s GPS vehicle monitoring policy.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the weatherization installation process. Example (skill saw, reciprocating saws, drills and other similar tools)
- Previous experience in weatherization/construction is a plus
- Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, basement, interior or exterior of a home/apartment building and on roof
- Strong communication skills is a must
- Ability to monitor gauges, dials or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
- Critical thinking skills is a must. Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the job and finding solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
