Bakery Manager
Overview:
We are a small bakery and restaurant hiring a bakery manager to oversee operations and lead a team of 4-6 bakers.
Baking experience required. Full-time daytime hours and some weekend availability is a must. This is a salaried position which includes optional health and dental insurance and paid time off.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily bakery operations including production, inventory management, and quality control
- Ensure compliance with cleanliness and food safety standards and regulations
- Supervise bakery staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Oversee the baking process from ingredient preparation to final product
- Develop new recipes and products
- Oversee wholesale bagel operations
- Maintain a positive, hard-working attitude at all times
- Participate in executive-level management meetings
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a bakery or kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and baking principles
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- ServSafe Certification, or ability to receive certification within 3 months
