Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented laboratory assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a solid background in laboratory techniques, knowledge of quality control, may be from food, cosmetic or personal care industry.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining records of all procedures and results
- Procuring supplies, organizing chemicals, and ensuring proper waste disposal
- Prepares for and participates in inspections and assists the laboratory in meeting all regulatory guidelines.
- Conducts quality control analyses of incoming raw material, stability, and finished product samples.
- Demonstrates a functional understanding of a laboratory setting and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Works within laboratory environment for extended periods of time, conducting tests, reviewing data, maintaining laboratory materials and instruments and other laboratory functions as require.
- Compiling technical reports and interpreting results
- Adhere to existing safety standards and help improve laboratory safety practices whenever possible.
- Perform daily and weekly maintenance and internal calibration of equipment per SOPs (standard operating procedures) and any other applicable documentation.
Requirements:
- Associate degree - with 3 years' laboratory experience or a 4-year bachelor’s degree (Chemistry, Biology, or other STEM related field) with 1-2 years' experience
- Knowledgeable of the cGMP regulations and standards
- Experience with relevant software applications including MS Office, Excel, and Adobe.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, customers and/or regulatory agencies.
- Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
- Bilingual Spanish/English.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Proficient in data collection, analysis, and interpretation
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
