Position Description:
Ecompex is recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to provide professional support services for Facilities Sustainment Restoration & Modernization (FSRM) and Military Construction (MILCON), Project Planning & Program Development, Engineering/Requirement Definition and the Planning & Execution of In-House Facilities Projects to achieve critical missions of building sustainable installations. Some of the tasks the candidate will be responsible for can include performing construction cost estimations, preparing DD 1391s, tracking project milestones, developing Statements of Work (SOW) among other tasks. Work is on-site.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Must be a US Citizen.
· Must be able to pass a government background investigation.
· Must possess a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
· Must possess a minimum of at least 5 years’ experience as a mechanical engineering technician or electrical engineering technician.
· Must possess a strong knowledge of engineering principles and analytical techniques to support complex engineering assignments relating to civil engineering disciplines.
· Must possess experience in DoD project programming and development of programming documents such as DD 1391s.
Desired Qualifications:
· Extensive experience executing Facilities Sustainment Restoration & Modernization projects.
· Extensive experience developing technical drawings and plans.
· Proficiency performing comprehensive construction cost estimations.
· Experience developing Statements of Work (SOW).
· Experience developing requirements and acquisition packages.
· Experience drafting DD 1391s.
· Experience with DoD government contracting.
· Strong knowledge of Federal, State, local and Air/Space Force regulations.
Required Skills:
· Must have experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications.
· Must be proficient in gathering data to solve complex technical problems.
· Must possess the ability to follow established project-related procedures.
· Must possess the ability to track established project milestones.
Responsibilities:
· Assist in the execution of Facilities Sustainment Restoration & Modernization (FSRM) projects.
· Perform all required data entry for assigned projects.
· Develop Task Order requirements and acquisition packages for government use.
· Develop and complete 2-4 requirement and acquisition packages per month.
· Collaborate with customers, facility managers and other governmental personnel, as necessary, to define project requirements.
· Ensure project compliance with Federal, State, local and Air/Space Force regulations.
· Prepare Statements of Work (SOW).
· Develop cost estimates, and other components of the acquisition package for government approval and submission.
