Job Title: Sr. Software Test Engineer

Job summary: We are a leading Software as a Service (SaaS) company that specializes in the transformation of data in the US healthcare industry through cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both manual and automated testing, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring the highest quality of software products. This role will be instrumental in testing and validating our innovative AI-driven solutions, ensuring they meet the rigorous standards of the US healthcare industry. Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test plans to ensure the reliability and performance of our data management platform.
- Thoroughly test Java and Python APIs using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar for REST and SOAP services, as well as frameworks like JUnit or PyTest for integration testing.
- Validate the integration and functionality of clinical data processing systems, including HL7, FHIR, and CCDA implementations.
- Work closely with development teams to understand technical and functional requirements and ensure that systems are tested against them.
- Conduct SQL and Solr queries to ensure the integrity of data within our Snowflake data warehouse and ensure correct data handling in MySQL databases.
- Perform testing on AWS cloud infrastructure components like S3, EC2, CLI, and EKS.
- Participate in performance and load testing activities to ensure the platform meets the required standards and specifications.
- Conduct performance testing using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar to assess the system's behavior under various load conditions.
- Develop and enhance automated testing frameworks using Selenium, TestNG, or similar tools to cover frontend and backend components of our health data management platform.
- Implement continuous testing practices within our CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, ensuring that all features are automatically tested with every code commit and deploy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends in healthcare technology, AI/ML, and NLP to ensure our testing strategies remain forward-thinking.
Desired Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance and testing within a software development environment.
- Preferred knowledge of Java, Python, and API testing.
- Basic Experience with healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, and CCDA.
- Proficient in SQL and experience with MySQL databases.
- Familiarity with AWS services like S3, EC2, CLI, and EKS.
- Understanding of microservices architectures and pub-sub models.
- Experience in performance and automation testing.
- Knowledge of data warehousing solutions, preferably Snowflake
- Familiarity with machine learning, natural language processing, and AI technologies is preferred.
- Experience working with management tools like Jira, Rally, Aha etc..
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
