Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and implementing lean manufacturing principles. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop manufacturing systems, tools, and processes.
Duties:
- Design and develop manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment
- Create work instructions incorperating model and build specifications into the work plans to meet requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including CAD drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production operations
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize production efficiency
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for new manufacturing projects
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production issues
- Collaborate with suppliers to source tooling and equipment
- Perform robot programming and integration for automated manufacturing systems
- Utilize CAM programming software to develop CNC machining programs
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products
- Conduct training sessions for production personnel on new processes or equipment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering or related role
- Proficiency in Catia, Solid Works and Mastercam, CAD software (Creo, AutoCAD) for designing tools and equipment
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with robot programming and integration in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with CAM programming for CNC machining processes
- Knowledge of tooling design and development
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot production issues
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
