Hamilton Memorial Hospital District is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and administrative oversight of direct patient care activities within our 25-bed Critical Access Hospital located in McLeansboro in Southern Illinois. The CNO will play a pivotal role in driving a culture of excellence, fostering team member engagement, ensuring patient safety, enhancing the overall patient experience, and maintaining fiscal responsibility.
Responsibilities
The CNO is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operations of Nursing/Patient Care Services, including Med/Surg Floor, OR, Emergency Services, Employee Health/Infection Control, Education Services, Quality Improvement/ Risk Management, Social Services/Discharge Planning/ Utilization Review, and IP Hospitalist Program. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients. Maintains performance improvement activities within departments and participates in QAPI activities. Assures competency of all nursing personnel organization-wide. Assists in formulating the budget and maintains efficient and effective departmental operations while required compliance with all state, federal, and local regulations, laws, standards, and protocols.

Qualifications
· Current Registered Nurse licensure to practice in the state of Illinois.
· Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing required; enrollment in Bachelor of Science in Nursing program within 18 months of accepting position.
· Preferred graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing or related field.
· Maintains clinical credentials and competencies to be able to work clinically.
· Proven clinical experience in first-line position. (1-3 years)
· Demonstrated progressive professional experience in clinical nursing practice and/or nursing leadership roles. (3-5+ years)

Salary will be based on education and years of experience.

Pay: $112,000.00 - $161,000.00 per year
