The Loan Processor & Servicing Specialist will assist in all functions of the Loan Department. Under general supervision following established policies and procedures, assist loan officers with requests and tasks needed to complete and process loan closing files, maintain a working knowledge and understanding of the bank’s lending policy and procedures, and serve as a backup in all areas of loan servicing. Perform other tasks as requested by supervisor as they relate to the Bank and its functions. Performs any combination of the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Compile and produce all required documentation for pending loan files, ensuring that all documents are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
· Utilize bank’s loan processing software for data entry and production of loan documentation, as well as boarding and integration of the loan file to the bank’s core processing system.
· Disburse funds and prepare checks for loan closings.
· Comprehensive understanding of compliance and lending regulations.
- Process loan payoffs.
- Maintains Escrow Function and related processes, including annual analysis and tax bill payment.
- Process insurance policies and assist with monthly insurance functions.
- Prepare Deeds of Releases, Subordination Agreements and Loan Modification Documentation.
- Research loan information inquiries as needed.
- Assist customers/bank personnel with loan related questions.
- Track new, renewed, and extended loans daily for receipt of closed loan documents.
- Batch and index loan files
- Assist with loan collections.
- Other activities as deemed necessary.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· A high school diploma or equivalent
· Professional demeanor in appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic and attitude.
· Must possess developed oral and written skills to communicate with peers and customers in a positive manner, portraying respect, and professionalism.
· Good organization and time management skills.
· The ability to work under pressure.
· Must be able to multi-task competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
· Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
· Accounting skills to reconcile and identify calculation errors.
· Strong attention to detail
· Self–starter with initiative to assist in all loan operation functions.
· Two Years of banking experience; with specific experience in loan processing, loan operations or servicing or related experience strongly preferred.

Banking is a highly regulated industry, and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.
