Job Overview:
Senior Client Managers exhibit a high level of technical proficiency. This position is a “high-touch client support” role that entails frequent coordination and collaboration between clients and our production team. Senior Client Managers (SCM) are the primary point of contact for clients.
As a SCM you are responsible for effectively communicating requests for information, providing insight and support to clients as it pertains to tax planning, and ensuring that client needs and expectations are met and managed. SCMs also perform quarterly meetings with clients to review tax returns and tax projections.
Responsibilities and Duties:
In your day-to-day role, you will engage in professional and respectful interactions with clients and team members, expertly coordinate information requests through various channels, and skillfully manage client expectations to ensure their satisfaction.
Client Management
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations.
- Client Communication: Communicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively to clients, ensuring they understand their tax obligations and strategies.
- Client Support: Provide ongoing support and advice to clients on tax-related matters.
Tax Compliance
- Tax Return Review: Review of tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure clients comply with federal, state, and local tax laws, including filing deadlines and reporting requirements.
- Tax Notice Support: Assist clients in inquiries from tax authorities.
- Tax Research: Conduct research on tax issues and stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations.
Tax Planning and Strategy
- Develop Tax Strategies: Create and implement tax strategies to optimize clients' tax positions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Tax Advisory: Provide quarterly tax projections.
- Identify Tax Savings Opportunities: Identify and capitalize on opportunities for tax savings and minimization.
Team Collaboration and Leadership
- Leadership: Exhibit leadership qualities by guiding and motivating team members, especially during challenging times.
- Initiative: Take initiative to identify areas for improvement and suggest innovative solutions to enhance team performance.
- Shared Responsibility: Take shared responsibility for the team's successes and challenges, recognizing that each member's contribution is valuable.Research and Analysis
Qualifications
- Must be a licensed CPA or EA
- Customer service focused and great communication skills
- At least 5 years of tax preparation and/or tax planning experience
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, and deliver results
- Willingness and ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
