Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in the field of industrial controls
- Experience designing burner safety and control circuits to NFPA-86 a plus
- Self-starting, task-orientated with a passion for engineering
- Attention to detail with the ability to work well with others in a design team
- Must have excellent technical writing skills
- Verbal communication skills
- Must have the ability to program HMIs and SCADA systems that are intuitive, logical and visually pleasing using programs such as Factory Talk and SQL Server
- The ability to clearly document and structure PLC programs so that others can understand the programmer’s intent and methodology
- Experience in designing and programming systems with Allen Bradley PLCs
- Experience with Siemens is preferred
- Experience using AutoCAD
Job Duties:
- Creation of industrial control system schematics using AutoCad
- Electrical design of industrial control systems including necessary calculations and component selection
- Programming of PLCs, HMIs, PC-based SCADA systems and variable frequency drives
- In-house testing of control systems
- Commissioning of heat-treating systems at the customer’s site
- Development of specifications, function descriptions and operator manuals
Domestic and foreign travel up to 35% will be required
