Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):

Residential Install Helper Level I is an entry level installer with the goal of learning quickly the basics of tools, equipment and policies involved to install a HVAC system.

Be on time and in proper uniform
-
Quickly learn and do what it takes to get to Level II install helper.
-
Follow Installer statement of expectations.
-
Assist the Lead, installing HVAC equipment at customer’s homes.
-
Assist in cleaning the job site
-
Assist in loading and unloading equipment
-
Maintain a positive learning attitude.
-
Attend and pass the Install Builder program
Requirements:
Requirements/Education:
-
Applicants must have at least a High School Diploma or GED
-
HVAC trade school diploma is preferred but not required
Technical Competencies:
-
Experience working with hand tools and power tools
-
Experience working in the HVAC industry is preferred but not required.
-
Be able to learn how to install gas lines to local codes
-
Be able to pass the EPA certification test and achieve at least Type II certification
-
Be able to learn how to install a thermostat
-
Be able to learn how to recover refrigerant
-
Be able to learn how to Pull a vacuum on HVAC equipment
-
Be able to learn how to wire high and low voltage components
-
Be able to learn how to install plenums and ductwork
-
Be able to learn how to Remove and set Condensers and Heat pumps
-
Be able to learn how to Insulate Ductwork
-
Be able to learn how to braze copper
Competencies Required:
-
Able to work in changing conditions such as heat, cold, and rain
-
Able to work in small confined spaces such as crawlspaces and attics.

Able to lift weights up to 100 pounds.
-
Able to follow directions
-
Able to work at a speed to help get install jobs done in a timely manner.
