Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead a dedicated team in the medical care and support of 16 severely disabled/medically fragile children and young adults at Casa Angelica.
3 years of experience in nursing management and leadership and a total of five years of experience in general nursing. Experience with working with the developmentally disabled/medically fragile population preferred.
Serving the mission of the Canossian Sister’s Daughter’s of Charity, Casa Angelica has been providing residential, educational and psychosocial support in a community setting since 1967.
Under the direction of Casa Angelica’s Medical Director, the DON will provide leadership and supervision in a holistic approach to coordination of care for individuals that require total 24/7 support.
This is a dynamic position will lead our Nursing department, Direct Care Professionals and hands on with the Residents. Responsible for ordering medical supplies and coordinating medical appointments. The qualified DON will provide regular training in CPR, infection control and appropriate emergency medical response. The DON is an integral part of Casa Angelica’s CORE Team, Human Rights Committee and management.
Although this is a Mon.-Fri., 9 -5 position, the DON supports all nursing shifts by periodically working morning, evening and night shifts to ensure proper training, quality of care and to enhance the team approach to care. The DON is responsible for scheduling nursing staff. As part of the CORE Team the DON will take on call duties one week every 4 to 6 weeks.

SALARY IS NEGOTIABLE BASED ON LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE
