**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Food Safety Specialist to oversee our quality control processes and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing quality assurance policies and procedures to maintain efficient operations.
**Duties:**
- Ensure adequate allocation of resources to support the Food Safety Program (FSP), including monitoring and validating effectivensss and compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
- Provide training to plant personnel concerning FSP, OSHA, FSMA and other regulatory compliance.
- Review and maintain the HACCP system and all prerequisite programs.
- Conduct in-house laboratory testing and coordinate all third-party laboratory testing.
- Manage plant complaint investigations, ensuring a thorough, effective, timely, and customer facing response.
- Provide reports and relevant inormation to the organization's top management on the effectiveness and suitability of the food safety management system.
- Ensure compliance with CGMP, HACCP, and FDA regulations
**Skills:**
- Proven experience in food safety and quality assurance
- Bachelors degree and a minimum 1-year prior experience in food safety compliance
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC methodologies
- Ability to work under special work conditions such as extreme heat or cole
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs and other computer skills
- Ability to analyze complex data sets
- Familiarity with FDA regulations and industry standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work holidays, weekends, or different shifts as needed
