Who We Seek:
A leader who is responsible for the day-to-day activities at the program and ensures the safety and security of students and fellow employees. We need you to play a vital role in providing daily therapeutic support and guidance for children and adolescents so they can achieve the highest level of independence. Every day, you will have the opportunity to see the positive results of the work you do. You will develop and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with children, demonstrate exceptional verbal intervention skills and will effectively implement individual client treatment plans.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all scheduled student activities and refer students to appropriate employees for support.
- Observe and record all medication has been taken and counted in the medication and narcotic logbook.
- Supervise shifts in the absence of a supervisor.
- Communicate all necessary information to the on-coming supervisor.
- Utilize employees on shift in a manner that best promotes the safety and will being of both students and employees.
- Maintain the safety and security of the program, its students, and employees.
- Perform verbal and physical de-escalation as needed to ensure safety of students and fellow employees in accordance with agency policies and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) procedures.
- Ensure employees on shift follow and maintain all safety, security and agency policies and procedures.
- Attend program meetings such as, supervisor and staff meetings.
- Facilitate community meetings.
- Utilize the on-call system as outlined.
- Mentor and coach counselors in understanding Trauma Informed Care and Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) concepts
- De-escalate situations and provide mediation.
- Communicate with students, co-workers, and external providers in a professional manner.
- Complete and pass required trainings and certifications set forth by the agency.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings.
- Work and/or supervise at different locations, as necessary.
- Perform other duties as directed by administration
Requirements:
- High School Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred in related Human Service Field
- One year of supervisory experience in residential care
- Strong written and verbal skills
Shift:
Sat: 8am-8pm, Thurs & Fri: 2pm-10pm, Wed: 12pm-10pm
