Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manual Machinist to join our professional team. As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining mechanically controlled machines such as horizontal lathes, vertical lathes, mills, and grinders to produce precision tooling/parts, and to repair or overhaul aircraft engine parts per applicable technical data in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-years of experience working in an aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul FAA regulated repair station.
This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, nationals of the United States, asylees and refugees) due to access to export-controlled technology
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual machines including lathes, mills, and grinders
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Perform precision machining to produce parts within specified tolerances
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments
- Work with engineering on modification of repairs or implementation of new repairs
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
Qualifications/Skills
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:
- High school diploma/GED, Trade school, and 5-years of related experience or training
- Proficiency in operating and implementing machining processes
- Strong knowledge of tooling fabrication techniques
- Experience with hand and automated measuring tools such as calipers, scales, micrometers, venirs, and gauges
- Ability to a pass a preliminary drug/alcohol test, and subject to ramdom testing as required by the FAA and similar regulatory agencies.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
