Hours: 7:30am to 3:30*
Summary: The PE Coach understands and promotes the school’s mission, vision, objectives, and policies both within and outside the immediate school community. The teacher will demonstrate the qualities expected of all teachers in the areas of curriculum, instruction, assessment, class management, professional responsibilities, professional relationships, family involvement, and school community.
Position requirements and/or skills:
- Bachelor of Arts/Science in Education or field of instruction, Florida certification,
- Three (3) years teaching experience preferred
- Ability to successfully teach assigned classes in area of certification
- Strong written, grammatical, presentation, and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required to develop rubrics, research and examine data and metrics, assessment, and application that will enhance student knowledge
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with a diverse team of teachers and administrators
- Knowledge of childhood development and demonstrated experience with executing planned lessons to meet the differential needs of each child
- Duties/Responsibilities

- Responsible for good attendance to instruct assigned class(es) in the locations and time designated
- Plans, prepares, and delivers instruction that ensures the optimum performance of students.
- Maintains appropriate discipline. Creates a class environment that is conducive to learning.
- Demonstrates and maintains knowledge of subject matter assigned. Engages in professional development activities to enhance this knowledge.
- Evaluates instructional needs and varies instructional delivery and techniques to meet the individual needs of students. Engages in professional development activities to remain current in appropriate strategies and techniques of instructional delivery.
- Establishes and maintains a positive collaborative relationship with students' families to increase student achievement.
- Establishes and maintains a positive collaborative relationship with members of the School to ensure an environment conducive to learning.
- Utilizes appropriate tools for ongoing progress monitoring and instruction.
- Maintains an up-to-date gradebook. Assesses student performance on an ongoing basis and provides progress reports as required.
- Communicates grade and/or student performance to parents according to the Staff Handbook process.
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law and administrative regulation.
- Eagerness to commit to before and after school sponsorship/support of student clubs, activities, etc.
- Willingness to participate with all assigned responsibilities beyond instructional duties. Accept duty assignments in support of the safety of all students and the safe operations of the School environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,500.00 - $64,500.00 per year
