Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Property Accountant to join our Team. The Team Member will be involved in all aspects of accounting and finance and will work closely and collaboratively with senior management and property managers. In this highly visible and dynamic position, the successful applicant will be a self-motivated accounting professional who will create accounting protocol for the company. The Senior Property Accountant is responsible for the day to day management of the company’s accounting operations, including the production of financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, cash flow projections, loan draws and a comprehensive set of controls. This position is based in Torrance, California.
Responsibilities
· Budget Analysis and Budget Reforecasting
· CAM reconciliations
· Tax Accounting (Depreciation, Amortization, Capitalization)
· Bank Reconciliations / Cash Management
· Cash Flow Projections
· Capital Tracking as related to Loan Draws
· Corporate Month-end and Quarter-end financial reporting
· Presents financial information to upper management including the CEO
· Works closely with the company's auditors
· Interact and Supervise company's property accounting personnel
· Oversee the monthly-close accounting calendar
· Support the company's implementation of technology and systems initiatives
· Establish and enforce the Accounting group's policies and procedures
· Train, mentor and evaluate subordinate staff as appropriate
Qualifications
· Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
· MRI software
· Strong knowledge of GAAP
· Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
· Familiarity with leases, purchase and sales agreements, property management agreements, loan documents, construction agreements, and vendor agreements
· Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
· Able to work independently and take initiative
· Able to adapt to changing priorities
· Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines

Required Education & Work Experience:
- BA or higher degree in finance or accounting
- 5+ years in a management or supervisory role overseeing accounting personnel
