The Sr. Director of Marketing and eCommerce reports to the CEO and is a member of the senior leadership team. The successful candidate will thrive at leading a small team of e-commerce, customer service, social media, and graphic design professionals. The driving objective of this role is to excel at executing brand, product marketing communications, and e-commerce strategies that grow the Sightglass brand, community, and meet revenue targets. The successful leader will have a deep knowledge of the brand, our customer base, our products, and marketing and e-commerce strategies and operations.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the CEO, Marketing Team, Retail/Operations, Wholesale, E-Commerce teams to continually grow the Sightglass brand with a clear brand ID, benefits, attributes and brand voice that define the organization, values, and products.

Lead the brand planning process that includes the definition of target consumers and the development of marketing mixes and strategies to drive brand awareness, trial, repeat, loyalty and advocacy.

Ensure the brand strategy has guidelines on how, what, where, when and to whom Sightglass communicates its brand messages to create strong emotional connections with customers and higher brand equity.

Partner with Director eCommerce on sales and operations targets and execute a strategy to achieve these goals, with demonstrated ROI

Identify marketing metrics and e-commerce analytics, interpret the results, and take actions to increase the effectiveness of marketing.

Understand and become proficient with Shopify.

Oversee website design, social media, and SEO to increase customer engagement and conversion to achieve the company’s online sales goals.

Collaborate with the CEO to establish an annual marketing budget that includes goals and objectives with frequent progress reviews.

Create copy and communications materials to both internal team members and external clients that clearly reflect the Sightglass brand voice.

Lead the photoshoot process for content marketing across owned and paid channels and to ensure new products are portrayed optimally

Apply an omni-channel mindset to create a calendar of campaigns and authentically connect with consumers across grocery, retail, online and digital channels, including identification of needed internal and external resources

Own marketing vehicles and trade as part of marketing mix and analysis, executing in partnership with wholesale leadership

Apply strategic thinking of the four P’s - product, price, promotion, place, to enhance Sightglass’ position in the marketplace and overall marketing plan

Stay current in the industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, reading publications, and cultivating professional networks.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Minimum 7 years’ experience in Brand Management, e-Commerce, and Marketing

Demonstrated experience developing creative, organic marketing mixes and campaigns

Demonstrated success at developing and executing product marketing campaigns.

Adept at being a leader - inspiring, collaborative, empathetic, and a great listener

Well versed in digital advertising, social media, website design, SEO, and graphics to increase current customer purchases and attract new customers

Possesses keen sense of curiosity with an eye for innovation

Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000
