Nissan of Athens has an immediate opening for a professional parts driver. Must be 25 years old and have a clean driving record
Pull Products
Auto parts outlets receive delivery orders throughout the day. The first step in the process is to pull select parts from inventory. Depending on the volume of orders, a driver may pull one customer's order and deliver it right away and come back for the next. Or you may take several orders at once in a given area and make all of the deliveries on one run.
Customer Service
Customer service begins with accurate order pulling and efficient delivery, though safe driving is important. At the point of delivery, the parts employee becomes a customer service representative. Good deliverers build rapport with operators of typical local repair shops. They maintain friendly, courteous relationships that encourage repeat business and deter shop owners or managers from looking for other parts providers on future orders.
Other Duties
Parts delivery drivers often complete a number of other duties during slow periods. In smaller communities, delivery orders are more spread out. Some deliverers help out in sales or service or perform basic cleaning duties in the store while waiting. They also help unload inventory when it arrives from manufacturers or distribution centers. Must be be able to lift up to 50 pounds
and load truck/van.
