This is a casual (temporary) position for about 5 weeks - starting the week of July 15, 2024.The schedule would consist of 2 days per week - about 5 hours per day.$20/Hour!!
SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing a comprehensive system of support for people with disabilities and those facing other barriers to employment to help them achieve independence through employment. Support consists of assessing their needs and abilities, creating plans to enable them to be successful at work, and offering training for job preparedness, job placement and retention.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Supports the development and ongoing revisions to Individualized Employment Plan or Individual Service Plan (IEP/ISP) by providing input and information.

Tracks consumer’s progress towards goals and objectives in IEP/ISP.

Breaks job duties and assignments into manageable and specific steps to facilitate consumers’ learning.

Monitor consumer’s level of performance including determining when support can be faded and quality of consumers work to ensure it adheres to industry standards and all tasks are completed within acceptable time frames.

Serves as a liaison between employee and employer and facilitates appropriate worker to supervisor relationship.

Engages clients and establishes trusting, collaborative relationships directed toward the goal of competitive employment in community job settings with other workers who do not necessarily have disabilities.

Provides individualized follow-along supports to assist clients in maintaining employment.

Spends 50% or more of scheduled work hours in the community. For example, meets clients at community locations such as home, workplace, coffee shop, meeting with potential employers, library, One-Stop, ORS office, family home, etc. or takes clients to or apply for jobs

Provides supported education, using principles similar to supported employment, for clients who express interest in education to advance their employment goals.

Maintain appropriate records to track consumer progress (hours worked, wages, progress notes and other programmatic date).

Attend departmental staff meetings and special meetings as required.

Perform other duties as requested by supervision.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to work independently.

Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Experience working with people with disabilities and other barriers to employment.

Strong knowledge of different learning styles.
-
Experience working directly with individuals in the rehabilitative or developmental disabilities field; must demonstrate compassion, patience and commitment to working with Goodwill population.

Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability and time management skills required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Valid driver license in good standing, use of personal insured vehicle

High School Diploma required; Associates degree in a social services field preferred.

Two years’ experience working with people with disabilities in rehabilitation related field preferred.

Annual certifications required in First Aid and CPR.
-
Agency van training.
