SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Food Runner is responsible for assisting and supporting the front of house and back of house to ensure prompt service and guests’ satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Responsible for friendly and timely support service for the food and beverage operations.

Responsible for supplying servers with food items for the front of the house to function effectively.

Serve general items such as food, hot and cold beverages.

Stock up the runner station with all required items.
-
Ensure proper plating, including additions and/or substitutions prior to bringing food to guests.
-
Deposit dishes appropriately in the dish room or specified area.
-
Effectively communicate with peers, management, line and front of the house employees.
-
Assist in ensuring efficient service of all food and provide guests with exceptional service by assisting and supporting the wait staff.

Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization assigned work areas.

If needed, describe the selection of food menu items to guest when dropping food to the table.

Memorize all table and seat numbers.
- Properly deliver food and beverage items to the correct tables and seat number.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Speak and write fluently in English & Spanish.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Self-motivated and resourceful, with the proven ability to multi-task and operate successfully under pressure.

Able to work evenings, weekends and Holidays.

Successfully pass the food runners Certification exam.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.

Work entails chemical usage.
