Qualifications:
Required:
- Advanced Nursing License i.e.: NP, ANP, FNP.
- License to practice in Massachusetts.
- Active certification from DEA for controlled substance prescription.
- Enrollment in the Physician Monitoring Program of Massachusetts
- Two years’ experience in a related area (such as substance abuse treatment). (This may be waived only upon approval of the CEO)
Preferred:
- Experience with medicated assisted treatment
- Experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental health disorders
- Educated in trauma informed care and client centered principals
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Provide advanced nursing care
· Consults and collaborates with Medical Director to plan and implement care according to
Nurse Practitioner Guidelines.
· Provides initial and annual history and physical evaluation for review by physician and discussion with clinical team as appropriate
· Assesses eligibility for treatment including patient’s history of dependence on opioids
· Orders appropriate laboratory studies as necessary by protocol or clinical need
- Reviews laboratory results and provides necessary education, referral and / or follow up services to patients including correspondence and/or conversation with other providers involved in patent care.
- Evaluates efficacy of ongoing methadone maintenance treatment on an annual basis for all clients in conjunction with the medical director and the clinical counseling team
· Acts as a liaison between patients, private physicians, area hospitals and ATCNE, as needed.
- Reports and documents significant patient issues and Adverse Events
Function as full member of the ATCNE clinical and administrative team
- Protects and maintains confidentiality of information at all times.
- Communicates pertinent information to appropriate members of the
health care team,
- Collaborates with director of nursing to optimize quality and efficiency.
- Documents in a clear, concise legible manner.
- Participates in staff meetings, in-service training, case conferences and research projects, when appropriate.
· Orients new staff to history, process of care and patient evaluation as appropriate
- Participates in licensing site visits and evaluations as required and as appropriate
- Maintains appropriate documentation of treatment provided
- Provides consultation to Medical Director/Executive Director/Director of Nursing and all agency staff as deemed necessary and appropriate.
· Attends weekly administrative/clinical team meetings.
· Attends in-service training for staff as required.
· Actively participates in weekly interdisciplinary team meetings.
· Perform other tasks as may be required by the Medical Director or Executive Director.
Maintain an explicit team role
- As a clinician be available to support other healthcare team members
- As liaison with all members of the Primary Health Care Team and other agencies – local authority, social services, secondary care, voluntary sector and Primary Care in order to assure appropriate care is provided for the practice population.
- Participating as a key member of the multi-professional team through the development of collaborative and innovative practice.
- Delegating appropriate tasks to the multidisciplinary team while maintaining responsibility for care.
- Supporting the delivery of health and safety guidance as agreed within the practice.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $64.00 - $81.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
