SRG (Specialized Recruiting Group) is excited to collaborate with our client in the search for a CNC Programmer to join their dynamic team in Hillsboro, OR.
Position Summary
The CNC Programmer Operator role is a vital part of our manufacturing team at Specialized Recruiting Group (SRG). Working autonomously, the incumbent will contribute to our machining operations, ensuring precision part fabrication, adherence to schedules, and overall customer satisfaction. The CNC Programmer Operator will be instrumental in programming, setting up, and operating multi-axis CNC machinery to meet quality standards and production goals.
Job Duties
· Create a set of shop drawings using SolidWorks software.
· Develop flat patterns for CNC programming using SolidWorks software.
· Create and edit programs for Amada turrets using Fabriwin software from customer-supplied drawings and models.
· Create and edit programs for Trumpf laser using TrueTops software from customer-supplied drawings and models.
· Create or adjust customer artwork when needed using Adobe Illustrator software.
· Design and program custom fixtures to help the Production team.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blue print specifications, including GD&T.
· Demonstrated experience with SolidWorks software, capable of manipulating sheet metal models to get a flat pattern.
· Demonstrated understanding of K-factor, Bend Deduction, and Bend Allowance.
· Demonstrated experience with both TrueTops and Fabriwin programming software.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Quality system awareness, ability to perform necessary inspections using basic dimensional instruments when required.
· Must be able to lift 10-15 pounds continuously and occasionally up to 35 pounds.
· Have strong analytical skills
· Ability to work with little supervision
· High school graduate
· Technical certification, AA or higher degree preferred, but not required
· A team player with a willingness to learn.
Work Environment
The CNC Programmer Operator may work in various environments including offices, manufacturing areas, cleanrooms, and warehouses, encountering moderate to high noise levels, specialized apparel, safety equipment, and moving mechanical parts. Exposure to materials listed in the company’s Safety Data Sheets (SDS) may occur.
Physical Requirements
The role involves primarily light work with continuous periods of standing, walking, reaching, squatting, crawling, climbing, stooping, talking, listening, pushing, and pulling. The ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently is required, along with repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
