Leading global Financial Services Firm has an immediate need for a
Financial Analyst with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience. This is an Associate level position on the FP&A team with high visibility on a global level and exposure to the Senior Managing Director and CFO of the firm. The Associate will interact closely with global leaders in Accounting & Finance, senior management and the heads of the Shared Services Department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the business partner to the Global Heads of the Shared Services departments to help them understand their costs and find ways to more cost-effectively serve their internal customers
- Manage budgeted/approved headcount and compensation costs (critical control function)
- Lead budgeting/ planning process for shared services departments and monitor controllable SG&A costs
- Deliver monthly/quarterly analysis and reporting of financial results, including variances to business plan, to ensure key issues, risks, and business drivers are clearly understood and highlighted
- Assist in the allocation process of consolidated Shared Services costs to the Front Office using PCMCS (proprietary Oracle system)
- Participate in planning and execution of various cost saving initiatives throughout the company as appropriated by Senior Management
- Prepare executive-level reporting, summarizing findings and recommendations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least two years relevant accounting experience with P&L responsibility for operating expenses
- Strong knowledge of cost allocation models/methodologies and accruals
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency with Hyperion Essbase and Tableau
- Experience with Oracle based allocations modules
- Financial or Professional Services industry experience
Compensation: $90,000-$100,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
