- The Nurse Manager has 24/7 oversight for assigned personnel that support nursing staff on the inpatient units.
- Nurse Manager is responsible for maintaining a patient-focused, team-oriented culture, working in collaboration with all other medical, clinical and therapeutic disciplines to ensure optimal service and superior outcomes.
- As a key member of the leadership team at Mary Free Bed, the Nurse Manager contributes to performance improvement quality projects as directed by the Associate Chief Nursing Officer. The Nurse Manager will sit on committees impacting quality improvement, patient safety, and others as assigned.
- In collaboration with the Nursing Director, provide the nursing clinical oversight for specific groups of clinical staff, including the registered nurses and nurse technicians.
- This leader will report directly to the ACNO.
- Responsible for implementation of Joint Commission, CARF, CMS, and state hospital standards, as directed by the Nursing Director/Chief Nursing Officer. Ensures care is delivered according to these standards. Responsible for “accreditation readiness” as a key component of the role in collaboration with the nursing director/CNO.
- Assist in monitoring Patient Satisfaction for the Nursing Department, including analysis of results, and performance improvement initiative.
- BSN required.
- IL RN license required.
- Maintain a patient admission process that does not delay or reject admissions as a result of staffing or equipment issues is an organizational priority. Identify issues and barriers and work with stakeholders to find an appropriate resolution.
- A minimum of two years of relevant nursing leadership experience is required.
- Accurate decision-making, strong leadership skills and critical thinking. Ability to manage a group of employees including identification of performance goals and completion of detailed performance reviews. Strong collaborative skills.
