Principal Function:
The K-12 Superintendent oversees the daily operations, program activities, and projects of North Hills Christian School (NHCS). Working in coordination with the School Board, the person will ensure the administration of the school is consistent with the mandate (mission), motives (values), marks (how we define success), and vision of North Hills, and lead staff toward the implementation of the Strategic Plan. The K-12 Superintendent will demonstrate leadership for staff and students. A mature believer, the person shall reflect the purpose of the school to honor Christ at all times, is passionate about educating children in a Christian environment, and is committed to discipleship, academic excellence, and personal life-long learning. The K-12 Superintendent is a member of the North Hills Management Team. Reporting to this person are the Principal, Vice Principal, School Counselor, K-12 Administrative Assistants, and International Student Program Coordinator.
K-12 School Operations, Policies, and Promotion
Lead the K-12 faculty and staff to accomplish the purposes of the school.
Lead the K-12 Administrative Council to develop the school’s annual Ministry Operational Plan as part of the school budgetary process.
Promote and publicize the standards, programs, and activities of NHCS within the local and Christian education communities to increase student enrollment.
Prepare and provide exceptional customer service for visitors and potential student families.
Maintain current knowledge of all applicable school compliance and liability issues.
ACSI/WASC Accreditation
Responsible for the accreditation renewal process, implementing recommendations, and meeting accreditation requirements.
Budget
Responsible for developing the annual school budget and overseeing the budget expenditures throughout the fiscal year, including purchase procedure of curriculum and related resources.
Establish and lead a donor development program (individuals and businesses) to raise additional funds.
Supervision and Personnel Management
Oversee employment decisions related to faculty and school staff.
Responsible for planning, organizing, and leading Professional Development days and growth opportunities to encourage
ongoing professional training and education, with attention to the needs of faculty related to ACSI certification requirements.
Student and Parent Relations
Develop and maintain open and collaborative communication with all stakeholders.
Develop and enhance methods to effectively and efficiently resolve parent-faculty and faculty-student conflict, issues, and/or concerns when unresolved at the Principal/Vice Principal level.
Assist Principal and Vice Principal with discipline matters for K-12 students.
Curriculum
Responsible for developing and systematically utilizing a review cycle for all K-12 curriculum, including alignment with ACSI/WASC and California state standards.
Ensure biblical integration/worldview is implemented at all levels.
School Facilities and Risk Management
Serves as Emergency Drill Facilitator.
Maintain a cooperative relationship with the Church (and its ministries) and Preschool regarding the shared use of space and equipment.

Exemplify and articulate a saving and growing relationship with Christ. Be a person of Christian love, faith, truthfulness, and virtue.
Must be (or is willing to become) an active member of North Hills Baptist Church.
Education/Credentials
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Emphasis in Christian Education, Education, or related field preferred but not required.
Possess current ACSI Head of School Certificate (or is able to obtain one).
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Minimum of 3 years of school administration experience required.
Effective, proven leadership and administrative skills.
Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate staff; communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; understand and apply relevant laws, rules, and regulations; establish and maintain cooperative relationships with faculty, students, parents, and church ministry committees and teams; organize and implement concurrent tasks and projects.
Knowledge of applicable school policies and procedures, laws, and regulations; computer software programs for use in office, as well as educational use of technology; principles of risk management in a school setting.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
