Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various engineering tasks and projects, contributing to the design and development of mechanical systems.
Duties:
- Responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of endpoint configurations in the customer environment.
- They are required to engage with leadership, customers, and end users to identify pain points and areas for improved functionality and security, analyze complex and diverse data to identify root causes, and create solutions.
- They provide reliable and secure mobile, workstation, and lab environments for the organization.
- They also develop workflows, processes, and automation procedures, and represent the team in technical change, incident, and problem management calls.
- Ensures the performance and functionality of mobile devices across various Apple, Android, and Windows platforms.
- They are to have a demonstrated understanding of the federal government's mobile security requirements, associated software needs, and alternatives to support those requirements.
- Collaborates with and provides communication of endpoint management and security requirements, software deployment plans, and timing to both Widepoint and CWMD for mobile end-user access and mobile security.
- Develops, communicates, and updates the mobile security roadmap for CWMD mobile devices and applications.
- Ensures a simple user experience for CWMD personnel for mobile device security and new device deployment.
- Provides support documentation for project plans and implementation as needed or requested.
- They are responsible for testing mobile device software, new operating systems, and reporting any application malfunctions.
- They also assist with planning, scoping, automating, and executing tests across multiple platforms.
- They also complete design reviews, API testing, functional validation, error handling, and performance testing.
- They communicate effectively with developers to understand design goals and provide appropriate feedback relative to the program SOPs.
- They also communicate status during any execution.
Functional Tasks:
- Support the ongoing rollout and optimization of Microsoft Intune for all devices and applications
- Continuous improvement of MDM profile assignment and management process
- Quality assurance to ensure federal government security standards are met
- Notification of end-of-life devices in current inventory for CWMD. Ensure new devices will meet operational requirements.
- Packaging, testing, and deploying new applications
- Deployment and support of new functionality and security such as CyberArk EPM, Defender for Endpoint, and Lookout
- Consultation for new requests for environmental, application, or process updates/changes.
- Consultation with local and state partners of CWMD and federal MDDP on use cases, applications, and continuous process improvements. E.g., value stream mapping of detection equipment relative to application and device type.
- Test and evaluate mobile applications prior to deployment within the CWMD environment.
- As needed, works with Tier 3 support identify complex root causes and resolutions.
- Requirements include IDIQ Senior Level Engineering experience; Bachelor’s degree in discipline plus at least 5 years’ relevant experience; or Master’s degree in discipline plus at least 3 years’ relevant experience; Additionally, to support CWMD, this position requires in-depth experience and proficiency in Microsoft Intune, CyberArk, Microsoft Defender, Lookout, Azure and management of mobile applications.
- Must be proficient in supporting Apple, Android, and Windows OS. Must be proficient in mobile security and is expected to understand federal government requirements to meet mobile security standards
