Job description
The ideal candidate for this position should have a high school diploma or GED (with further technical coursework preferred) Training in any of the following trades including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting and general maintenance will be considered. In addition, he or she must have a general mechanical aptitude, be experienced with the use of hand tools and other general maintenance equipment, and be willing to work a flexible schedule. Flexible schedule will include second shift, weekends and holidays on occasion.
The Maintenance Technician maintains a fully-functioning and clean facility by ensuring the grounds, buildings, and equipment are kept in a safe condition and by following an established maintenance program. He or she is responsible for all maintenance procedures, repairs, and housekeeping.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performs routine maintenance and cleaning for the grounds, facility, and equipment following all safety procedures and precautions
- Understands and executes preventative maintenance in all guest rooms and public areas and ensure that the hotel is in brand compliance
- Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised and maintain high standards while being sensitive to time deadlines
- Storage of grounds equipment and supplies are kept organized and clean.
- Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management. Ensure guest privacy is respected and confidential.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred.
- Three years of progressive and relevant experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
- Experienced in a wide variety of trade skills is preferred (carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical) and the tools associated with them.
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed

Pay: $14.12 - $26.00 per hour
