Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary: As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Maryland, you will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients in various healthcare settings. Working collaboratively with healthcare teams, you will assess patient needs, develop care plans, administer medications, and advocate for patient well-being. This role requires clinical expertise, critical thinking skills, and a commitment to delivering compassionate and evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment and Care:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatments and interventions.
- Provide wound care, IV therapy, and other specialized nursing procedures as needed.
- Documentation and Communication:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including nursing assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
- Report changes in patient condition and collaborate on adjustments to care plans.
- Patient Education and Advocacy:
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Advocate for patient rights and preferences, ensuring informed decision-making and continuity of care.
- Promote health and wellness through preventive care practices and patient education.
- Team Collaboration and Leadership:
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Delegate tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs), certified nursing assistants (CNAs), and other support staff as appropriate.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to nursing students and new graduates as needed.
- Quality Improvement and Compliance:
- Adhere to regulatory standards, nursing policies, and protocols to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and interdisciplinary rounds.
- Maintain licensure and certification through continuing education and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current RN license in the state of Maryland, in good standing.
- CPR certification (BLS).
- Clinical experience in acute care, long-term care, or specialty areas preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $40.10 - $43.27 per hour
