About the role
The Digital Operations Engineer will operate under the direction of the Manager of our Digital Cloud Operations team. The Digital Operations Engineer will be responsible for maintaining an infrastructure environment by designing, configuring, and installing infrastructure components and systems. The Digital Operations Engineer also updates and responds to trouble tickets to ensure TTX’s Company data communications, servers, and storage environments are operating efficiently. The Digital Operations Engineer will report operational status through gathering and prioritizing informational metrics and managing simultaneous projects across the organization.
The Digital Operations Engineer participates in day-to-day design and operation of network server systems, Email systems, web systems, gateways, load balancers, routers, switches, firewalls, and other networked devices company wide. Works with SAN/NAS technology and enterprise back-up software solution to ensure data integrity and high availability providing system, process, and technical architectural direction on new and existing initiatives, projects, policies, and procedures. The Digital Operations Engineer also assists TTX’s operations by providing Level-2 support as efficiently as possible when required. Close collaboration with all TTX departments is a primary function of this role. To perform the role, the Digital Operations Engineer will have a broad understanding of business applications, networks, storage, and operating systems.
What You’ll do
- Perform as a key player with facility network set-up when needed.
- Maintain an infrastructure environment by designing, configuring, and installing infrastructure components and systems.
- Participate in the execution phases of all TTX projects and initiatives which enter the TTX resource leverage pipeline.
- Updates and respond to trouble tickets in a timely manner.
- Liase with all areas of the organization to coordinate projects and initiatives.
- Assisting in enforcing technology standards for production related systems
- Create and maintain an effective operational run book for various systems.
- Reports network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information.
- Attend training and meetings as required to continuously develop skill sets.
- Establish a professional working relationship with other team members and management staff.
- Carry a cell phone and respond to off hour emergencies within 30 minutes of being contacted.
- Design and implement Azure infrastructure solutions using Terraform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Manage and optimize Azure cloud resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components.
- Monitor Azure infrastructure and applications for performance, availability, and cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements in Azure environments.
- Troubleshoot Azure infrastructure issues and collaborate with Azure support as needed.
- Document Azure architecture, processes, and procedures.
- Stay current with Azure cloud services, trends, and best practices.
Required Qualifications to be considered:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer, with specific expertise in deploying and managing Azure resources using Terraform.
- Strong understanding of Azure services such as VMs, App Services, and Azure Networking.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools, particularly Terraform.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with Azure monitoring, logging, and cost management tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve Azure infrastructure issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications to be considered:
- Azure certifications such as AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-400, or related certifications.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
