Overview:
We are a well established Property Management company overseeing multi-family communities, looking for a contract technician to join our growing Service Team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry work, and repairing equipment.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
- Fabricate parts when necessary.
- Utilize Excel for tracking maintenance activities.
- Verify appliances are in working condition
-Visual inspection of entire home (no water damage/fire damage) etc.
-snow removal/trash removal
-Perform visual inspection of propane tanks
-Perform visual inspection of HVAC system and it’s panel readings
-Overall scan of the home and it’s furnishings for any obvious mishandlings
or damages (and report)
-Verify security of the homes (all windows/doors locked secured)
- Ensure fast, friendly, and high quality maintenance service for our residents.
-verify drainage systems are funtional
- Responsible for the turning of apartments in accordance with community standards and timelines.
-Ensure preventive maintenance, repair, for all community buildings, amenities, vehicles, and equipment is addressed in a timely, proactive basis.
- Ensure workplace safety through the enforcement of all applicable safety rules and requirements. Schedule and participate in emergency on-call shifts and after-hours maintenance as needed.
-Travel to South Haven, Muskegon county, kent county (paid travel times)

Position Requirements:
This position requires 3-5 years previous maintenance experience in a residential community, or similar. HVAC experience is not required. Candidates must be willing work on call. Required skills include knowledge of general maintenance (i.e. electrical, plumbing, appliances repair, etc.), and interpersonal skills as we work to resolve service requests for our resident's apartment homes. We are looking for someone who is motivated and enthusiastic.
Experience:
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in English for effective communication.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to handle various maintenance tasks.
- Customer service skills for interacting with internal teams and external vendors.
- Leadership abilities to supervise maintenance activities effectively.
- Experience in fabricating parts as needed.
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance is a plus.

Pay: $20.34 - $24.49 per hour
