An established and reputable treatment center in Newport Beach that provides gender-specific treatment for addiction, mental health and eating disorders for both males and females is seeking a Primary Therapist. The organization offers treatment utilizing many therapeutic approaches at Detox, Residential, and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) levels of care. This is an on-site position, where the Primary Therapist will provide individual, group and family therapy. oversee a case load of 6-8 clients struggling with addiction, eating disorder, and/or mental illness by assessing client needs, developing, implementing and reviewing progress of service plans, and collaborating with other community resources to meet and achieve client service needs.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide therapy services and clinical interventions that meet the the individualized needs of the clients, groups and families

Participate in the development of therapy services and programs with other clinical/program team members

Provide therapy services based in the application of integrative treatment modalities of mental health and/or addictive disorders

Contact the family of clients to facilitate counseling sessions and ongoing family therapy when appropriate

Facilitate education groups and one-on-one meetings with clients
- Collaborate with management team to maintain all safety policies, procedures and protocols pertaining to therapy and treatment

Update clinical documentation in compliance with state regulations and insurance contracts and in the appropriate format within 24 hours of the service taking place

Monitor the clients and client groups for safety concerns and corrects potential risks for clients and staff
- Participate in treatment team meetings and other scheduled trainings

Participate in discharge planning

Demonstrate effective continuing care planning and discharge planning services
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Masters Degree
-
Clinical or pending license as LMFT, LCSW or LPC
-
5 years of experience in SUD counseling
