Job Summary:
Responsible for everything York Container Corporation does or fails to do. This includes but is not limited to the safety and welfare of all employees; profit and loss; all financial matters, preservation and upkeep of all physical assets of the corporation; pricing; human resources; morale; HACCP and food safety; quality; operations; EHS; sales; customer relations; customer service; design; logistics; IT; and marketing; to name a few.
Essential Job Functions:

Lead YCC with the mindset of an owner.

Take extreme ownership of everything that happens at YCC.

Take care of the people that are YCC and strive to earn their trust.

Lead by example and from the front.
- Get out of the office and walk around the plant floor. Be visible to employees on all shifts on a frequent and regular basis especially at night, and when forcing employees to work weekends and holidays.
- Strive to maintain personal humility and seek knowledge from those doing the real work.

Profitably grow the business.

Maintain personal fitness and promote healthy living within the team.
- Maintain a strong moral compass. Do not accept perks or untoward favors.

Build, lead and support a smart team of professionals to exceed the needs of YCC’s customers, owners and employees.
- Serve on the YCC board of directors and lead monthly and quarterly performance reviews.

In addition to the functions listed above, the employee is expected to: exercise honesty, integrity and respect with all clients and co-workers, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, demonstrate a positive attitude, communicate effectively with co-workers and clients, work with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail, maintain good attendance by working when and where directed, work safely in compliance with all safety policies, respect the work environment and keep it as neat and clean as possible, and exercise initiative to learn new skills and tasks and to help co-workers when possible. The employee is also expected to perform such other duties and functions as required and assigned from time to time.
Safety:
The general manager is expected to follow all facility safety rules and guidelines include adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Food Safety as outlined during their training.
