Job Summary
The ideal Assistant General Manager will assist the General Manger in overseeing all Studio functionality with a primary focus on Sales & Marketing, Customer Service and Studio Operations.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Execute sales process, lead generation, follow-up and close – Ensure all staff is following the same process
- Maintain acceptable level of personal sales duties and requirements throughout team
- Drive membership intro sales at a 50% class conversion rate
- Lead intro classes while establishing relationships and targeting individual’s wants and needs
- Emphasize and enforce objectives of the club as a leader of the team
- Ensure a positive energy and mindset within the team
- Be aware of and able to problem solve current or prospective member issues
- Ensure OMGs are being gathered to ensure quality interactions to achieve monthly sales quota
- Set a standard for New Leads Contacted in 5 minutes or less and ensure process is being followed
- Assist GM with retention efforts by running biweekly reports and completing tasks that follow (Lost Sheep and Past Dues)
- Assist members with membership/billing related matters at a studio level
- Maintain retail organization, inventory levels, and drive retail sales
- Assist GM with schedule/ensure studio is properly staffed when needed
- Oversee sales representatives directly in-studio on a day-to-day basis
- Assist with organizing and participation in special in and out of studio events to promote the studio
- Assist with executing special in and out of studio events
- Assist with social media management
- Assist in developing teams’ sales skills through workshops and roleplays
- Assumes responsibility for developing personal selling skill
- Communicate with GM on studio/staff issues and forward any member and/or staff escalations
- Back-up for GM when not in studio
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- 2+ years of fitness or relevant sales experience.
- Confident in generating personal sales and training Sales Reps in sales
- Ability to manage and drive 4 revenue streams: memberships, retail, private training, and teacher training
- Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills in person, on the telephone and via email
- Ability to excel in a fast changing, diverse environment.
- Ability to recognize areas of improvement and make changes using good judgement.
- An affinity and passion for fitness.
- Solid writing and grammar skills.
- Highly organized, proficient in data management, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Professional, punctual, reliable and neat.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Proficiency with computers and Studio software.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Weekly day range:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
