Job Summary
The Department Success Specialist (DSS) position encompasses a multifaceted role involving the daily operation of the departmental office. From managing the front desk and greeting visitors to maintaining calendars and assisting with course schedules, this role demands meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. Additionally, the role involves student support activities such as answering inquiries, scheduling interviews, and facilitating student meetings, requiring a thorough understanding of departmental programs and strong interpersonal communication abilities. Furthermore, the position entails comprehensive departmental support, including mail handling, inventory management, and overseeing office supplies. Responsibilities extend to financial and business operations, involving record-keeping, procurement, and adherence to university accounting regulations. Finally, procurement and travel management tasks require precision and efficiency in handling departmental expenditures, travel arrangements, and compliance with policy and procedures.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Advanced word processing and spreadsheets, office procedures, administrative abilities, database management, University Systems, SAP training, and good people skills.
