GENERAL DESCRIPTION/PURPOSE
As the Market Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in advancing HistoryMaker Homes into a data-driven organization. This position is responsible for providing recommendations regarding community positioning. Much of your time will be spent analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to uncover actionable insights that will guide strategic decision-making across all levels of the company.
Requirements:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, and other duties may be assigned)

Spends up to 2 days per week in the field (DFW area)

Presents findings and recommendations to key stakeholders and senior management

Creates tools and models to streamline and improve market data collection, analysis, and reporting

Collects, monitors, and analyzes data about consumers, competitors, and market conditions

Holds focus groups with consumers

Analyzes complex data and converts findings into understandable tables, graphs, and written reports

Oversees, creates, and enhances reporting in Power BI
-
Analyzes depth of market and product positioning for potential and upcoming land deals

Analyzes positioning in existing communities monthly and provides recommendations to sales, marketing, and executive teams to increase sales and profits

Measures month over month effectiveness of market positioning and pricing/incentives and reports on community strategy enhancements and their outcomes

Recaps market conditions, economic shifts, and housing updates quarterly

Documents processes and analytical procedures for future reference

Works with the sales team to help sales counselors and managers understand community positioning and troubleshoot underperforming communities
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field

Experience: Minimum 2 years of related experience in analytics

Language Ability: Highly proficient in spoken and written English

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical and complex problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret and appropriately seek to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
