Seattle Public Utilities has multiple opportunities for experienced Maintenance Laborers in the Logistics Division of the Drainage and Wastewater (DWW) Line of Business. Main responsibilities are to perform semi-skilled and skilled maintenance work, support employee and community events, and assist with emergency response situations.

- Assist Workspace Management by moving furniture from one facility to another.

Provide additional ground maintenance support during emergency situations and peak weather seasons.

Assist with move related items for the SMT Remodel Project, office relocations and other remodel projects as needed.

Support employee recognition set-up/take down request across SPU.

Assist Facilities Maintenance team with maintenance and repair.

Support SPU sponsored external community events.

Manage tools, equipment, and rentals on-site during emergency and non-emergency events.

Support SPU facilities parcel work, delivery, storage and disposition of materials, forms, furniture, and equipment.

Drive pickup trucks and other motorized vehicles or equipment in connection with work activities.

Assist 24/7 in emergency work and emergency response situations as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

SPU’s safety program requires a pre-employment medical assessment as a condition of employment in this position.
The full salary range for this position is: $34.69 - $34.69 per hour or $72, 432.72 Annually.
