Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli items, including sandwiches, salads, and soups
- Take customer orders and process payments using a cash register or POS system
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and making recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including food preparation surfaces and equipment
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safety of customers and staff
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and monitoring product expiration dates
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the deli
Skills:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred
- Proficient in cash handling and operating a POS system
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system is a plus
- Strong upselling skills to maximize sales opportunities
- Ability to bus tables and maintain cleanliness in the dining area
- Excellent food handling skills to ensure proper storage, handling, and serving of food items
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet customer demands
