F.I.T. PT, Florida In-Home Therapy, provides Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy services in patients' homes in Palm Beach County and Broward County. We are currently looking for an experienced Physical Therapist to join our team and provide Physical Therapy services to patients in their home environment in your travel area of choice within Palm Beach County and/or Broward County.
The Physical Therapist will be able to choose their own hours and make their own schedule. You have complete control over your caseload and can customize your caseload to suit your needs. You can service the patient population and age group(s) of your choice.
We do not have any PTA's on our team, so you as the Physical Therapist, would be following through with the treatment sessions throughout your patient's Plan of Care.

Physical Therapist Responsibilities:
- Perform initial and ongoing Physical Therapy evaluations according to APTA standards of practice as well as state standards.
- Develop a Plan of Care for each patient based on initial and ongoing assessments
- Perform evaluations including short and long-term goals, collaboration demands of other staff members, and required patient and caregiver involvement.
- Implement a Plan of Treatment on a consistent schedule and adjust this schedule and plan according to patient progress.
- Document patient progress according to approved medical documentation and facility documentation procedures.
- Evaluate mobility, strength, and current level of patient function, while setting goals to improve in these areas that are scaled to patient abilities and realistically attainable.
- Report patient progress to the patient, patient caregivers, loved ones, facility staff, and healthcare professionals involved in ongoing treatment/care of patients.
- Develop a plan for patients following completion of their Plan of Treatment with appropriate in-home care services.
Physical Therapist Qualifications:
- Proven record of matching patient needs to treatment plans and proven record of implementing these plans safely and effectively.
- Strong experience administering a wide range of Physical Therapy techniques.
- Knowledge of responsible use of equipment, best practices for equipment use, and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Experience with a wide range of patient age groups, injuries, and conditions.
- An extensive understanding of kinesiology, biomechanics, posture, and gait mechanics.
- A strong sense of empathy, a compassionate outlook, and the ability to motivate patients into pushing their limits in a responsible, safe way.
Physical Therapist Requirements:
- Current Florida State License
- CPR Certification
Job Types: Part-time, PRN, Contract
Pay: $70.00 - $85.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 30 per week
