Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our clinical research laboratory team. As a Clinical Research Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting various research projects aimed at advancing medical knowledge and improving patient care. Your responsibilities will include conducting experiments, analyzing data, and maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in laboratory techniques, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for scientific discovery.
Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory experiments according to established protocols under the guidance of senior researchers.
- Prepare and maintain laboratory reagents, solutions, and cultures.
- Collect, process, and analyze biological samples from clinical research participants.
- Record experimental procedures, observations, and data accurately and comprehensively.
- Assist in the interpretation and presentation of research findings.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionality.
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, scientists, and research coordinators.
- Stay abreast of relevant scientific literature and contribute to the development of new research methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a research laboratory setting, preferably in a clinical or biomedical research environment.
- Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques, such as pipetting, centrifugation, and microscopy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot experiments independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards in research conduct and participant confidentiality.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for clinical research, such as Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, is desirable.
