This position is M-F 7:00AM-3:30PM.
Wage: $22.00 per hour
Core Responsibilities:
- Provides operator and quality tech training on quality related topics
- Conducts flex testing overflow and 2nd shift samples
- Participates in line qualification processes, when needed
- Leads communication regarding any quality issues between shifts and escalates to appropriate team members when necessary
- Conducts additional color audits as assigned
- Provides PolicyTech Support
- Projects may include: Data collection, process audits, lab improvements, etc.
- Covers vacations for quality techs on nights, and some other nights for project purposes
- Acts as auditor for quality results of Production Department
- Acts as point of contact for Production Supervisor regarding quality
- Responsible for use/handling of quality measuring devices
- Responsible for accurate completion of quality documentation
- Audits color and part checks
- Contributes to saving/scrapping decisions
- Owns “Red tag process” (marking product of questionable quality).
- Audits process set points
- Performs line clearance / first article inspection
- Maintains standards for product quality-testing areas within plant
- Additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management
Qualifications:
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) preferred
- Experience with Lean / Continuous Improvement preferred
- Experience with JDE preferred
- Strong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upward and downward to a wide range of audiences
- Must be able to accurately read quality measuring tools (i.e. caliper, micrometer, square, and tape measure)
- Good communication skills
- Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment
- Work schedule flexibility, with or without notice, to accommodate the needs of the business
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED, required
