Job Overview:
Buckhead law firm seeks to add a real estate and corporate associate attorney licensed to practice law in Georgia to its community association practice and growing firm. Our ideal candidate has three to six years of real estate or corporate law experience and must be licensed to practice law in Georgia. This position offers the opportunity to represent condominium and homeowner associations in a wide-range of general corporate matters.
The community association practice, much like a county or town counsel, includes advising boards of directors on every-day corporate issues; drafting governing documents and corporate document amendments; covenant enforcement; Fair Housing Act issues; contract review, negotiation, and enforcement; nonprofit advice; parliamentary procedure; assessment collection; insurance defense litigation; intra-corporate and election disputes; and general real estate counsel and litigation.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Westlaw for legal research
- Strong writing skills for drafting letters, legal documents, and practice related articles
- Excellent organizational skills
- Teaching and public speaking for clients generally and at community meetings
- Excellent research skills to support legal arguments
- Multi-tasking and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
